In session two, The Functional and Dysfunctional Aspects of Anger, you will learn how anger at times is necessary and can energize and prepare us for action or survival. We will also develop a thorough understanding of how and when anger becomes maladaptive producing distance and damage in our relationships. Join us for session two to gain key insights in differentiating between adaptive and maladaptive anger, resulting in improved function and relationships.

About: Dennis Paryaski is a retired police detective from the Southfield Police Department where he served for 24 years (1988-2012). Dennis joined the Oakland Hills Counseling team July 2014. Previously, Dennis worked as a psychologist for Starr/PsychSytems from 2012 through 2014 where he provided psychological services for Oakland, Wayne and Macomb County Community Mental Health consumers as well as treating clients at the outpatient clinic for depression, anxiety and behavioral issues. Dennis also served as a faculty assistant at Moody Theological Seminary of Michigan in the psychology department. While at Moody, Dennis treated clients at Inter Sessions, the psychological services clinic on the campus of Moody. After retiring from the police department, Dennis continued utilizing his analytical skills as a Special Investigator for GEICO Insurance conducting complex investigations into fraudulent insurance claims (2013-2015).
