Professional Training and Credentialing

James Garden holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University, a MBA from Long Island University, and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Oakland University. In addition to being a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, James is also a certified Prepare-Enrich Marriage Facilitator and a Budget Counselor certified by Crown Financial Ministries.

Professional Experience

James uses a “solution focused” approach to counseling, helping individuals and couples set clear goals and objectives and making the necessary cognitive and behavioral changes to achieve those goals and objectives. James also utilizes a holistic approach focusing on mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. James worked in the business field for 33 years specializing in coaching, training, education and development, and continues to coach and train through seminars. Additionally, He is part of the Marriage Ministry team at his church working with married and premarital couples.

Personal Information

James is married with three grown children. His passions are spending time with God, his family and friends, the community, and just about anything outdoors. James is an avid reader committed to the pursuit of lifelong learning and growth.
