She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), National Certified Counselors (NCC), Michigan Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Additionally, Linda’s life experience as a wife for over 39 years, a mother of three adult children and grandmother has equipped her with a unique understanding of marriage, women, and life transitions. Lastly, she has decades of experience in lay-counseling, in particular mentoring women and couples, as well as trauma-related grief counseling.

Professional Experience

Linda specializes in relationship issues with couples, individuals, and families. She is passionate about empowering clients to help create stronger and more secure relationships by exploring emotional needs and communicating feelings to others. Likewise, Linda emphasizes the importance of helping individuals recognize how early life experiences, along with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, shape their relationships today. She employs the counseling approach of “Attachment/Emotionally Focused Therapy” as well as “Cognitive Behavior Therapy” from a wellness model. She focuses on journeying alongside clients through issues such as communication, conflict resolution, life transitions, anxiety, depression, empathy enhancement, self-esteem, intimacy, and the grieving process. By utilizing the strengths of the client, Linda seeks to equip them through the provision of information, strategies, and techniques, enabling clients to move toward achieving personal goals, change and healing. Linda practices an integrative counseling approach that incorporates a faith-based foundation to psychotherapy, including an understanding of grace, empathy, trust, and forgiveness. She also seeks to provide the therapeutic tools that will assist clients in gaining confidence through learning how to access and identify emotion, as well as how to assertively communicate to others. Her goal is for her clients to feel equipped and empowered to manage life and relationships once again.
