Professional Experience

Saba cares for the client as a whole by using the Holistic approach of treatment. She uses different theories in treatment like the psychodynamic/psychoanalytic theory, person centered, Strength-based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while being psycho-educational…etc.
For Saba, Counseling is professional interpersonal relationship by which the counselor helps empowering diverse individuals, couples, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, relationships, education, and career goals. The counselor (professional helper) is educated, trained, and skilled to help the clients who share their issues and concerns with the counselor so both can cooperate in order to treat/resolve those issues (like developmental, situational, or more complex diagnoses) and help the clients achieve their goals. Saba’s education trained her in different models of counselling including Christian Interventions. Therefore, she can address the psychological, social, occupational, and spiritual aspects of clients and so my approach is the holistic approach.
She treated different age groups from (4-72) years old and different cultural/ethnic, racial, religious backgrounds. The adults whom she treated were struggling with substance abuse and or different mental illnesses like, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder… etc. Saba also passionate about couple counseling, play therapy with children, and family therapy. I worked in different clinical settings.
